Knickknack builds home and lock screen widgets for Android: photo slideshows, live content from any link, notes, and trackers you update with a tap. No account to create.

Photos

• A single photo, a shuffling slideshow, or a grid of 2 to 9 photos
• Fit or fill, with a focal point so faces stay in frame
• Point a widget at a folder on your phone and new photos join on their own

Live from any link

• Show an image, text, feed headlines (RSS, Atom, JSON Feed), a single value from a JSON API, or a web page, whole or just one part of it
• Webcams, radar maps, headlines, prices, or numbers from your own server
• Refresh on Wi-Fi only, pause during quiet hours, and keep the last good copy when a fetch fails
• Optional alerts when a value crosses a limit, text changes, or a feed gets a new top story

On your phone

Photos, notes, and tracker data stay on your phone. Photos from a folder are read through the system picker, so no storage permission is needed. The app connects to the internet only to fetch links you enter in link widgets and to check for app updates.
